Brandon Townsend ("BLT") - Drums, Backing Vocals

BLT is an invaluable presence in the back line of The Michael Chance Band, tossing jokes out between songs while keeping the groove locked down. BLT is also responsible for the wave of "Michael Chance Facts" that have begun popping up on the internet.

As a drummer, BLT got what some might call a late start. He picked up the sticks at 17, and plays with an open-handed style. Also, he is a lefty, is entirely self taught, and uses every sound his wraparound set can provide. The set is greatly inspired by one of BLT's first drum heroes, Mike Portnoy. He also cites Danny Carey and Carter Beauford as major influences on his style, which should help explain why he is equally comfortable with hard rock, funk, and the MCB's off-the-wall blend of soul, rock, and alternative music. He relishes the challenge of playing just about any style.

BLT is also the drummer for successful Delaware cover group Big Luscious T.
