Jamie Capatch - Saxophone, Flute (In Absentia)
It should be NOTED: Jamie lives in Australia now, and is not performing with the MCB. We've decided, however, that Jamie - who is family, and who built this sound with us - can never really leave the band. So we're not taking this page down. We're sure you understand.
Jamie's sensible saxophone stems from his natural sensibilities, a talented and judicious ear, and a period of study with sax whiz Jeff Coffin, of Flecktones and DMB fame.
His unique outlook on life and willingness to share a hug and a smile with all the inhabitants of this floating space-rock are a constant source of levity within the ranks of The MCB, just as truly as his sax lines, delivered with aplomb and ranging from subtle to menacing, are a source of pride.
Jamie has traveled and performed with too many artists to name, and has pushed a proverbial pin into cities beyond counting. Like many musicians - including most of the MCB - one of Jamie's chief attributes is wanderlust, well suited to the life of a musician.
